Statistics for African Americans & Hispanics Living in Hillsborough County
• As of April 2008, Hillsborough County ranked #5 in the State for HIV cases and #3 in the State for AIDS cases.
• In 2006, Hispanics represented 22.1% of the population in Hillsborough County, however as of 2008 they accounted for 17% of the individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Hillsborough County.
• In 2006, Blacks/African Americans represented 16.5% of the population in Hillsborough County, however in 2008 they accounted for 42% of the individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Hillsborough County.

HIV/AIDS Statistics for African Americans & Hispanics Living in Pinellas County
• As of April 2008, Pinellas County ranks #6 in the State of Florida for highest number of HIV cases and #7 in the State of Florida for highest number of AIDS cases.
• In 2006, Blacks/African Americans represented only 6.7% of the population in Pinellas County, however in 2007 they accounted for 24% of the new HIV cases and 34% of the new AIDS cases in Pinellas County.
• In 2006, Hispanics represented only 6.7% of the population in Pinellas County, however in 2007 they accounted for 9% of the new HIV cases and 9% of the new AIDS cases in Pinellas County.
