Make the Difference.
Become a Metropolitan Charities Volunteer!
A volunteer is one of the world’s most valuable assets! In fact, Metro Charities would not exist had it not been for the caring support of community volunteers organizing in King of Peace Metropolitan Community Church to provide assistance to those affected by HIV/AIDS. The generosity and willingness of our community volunteers enable us to continue life-altering services for people in need.
In keeping with our mission to sustain and enhance the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS, Metro Charities volunteers offer their time and energy to help more than 2,500 men, women and children who come to us for assistance each year. To continue to make this happen, we need community volunteers, so that our staff can devote their attention to providing client services.
Because there is so much to be done, we provide a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. There are even opportunities for people or groups to help maintain our offices and Metro Thrift Store. From general carpentry skills to office administrative assistants, we can always use your help and guidance. If you have a skill, talent, or provide a special service, please let us know so that we can try to match your abilities with our needs.
To find out more about volunteer opportunities, please contact Ed Gomez via email volunteers@metrocharities.org or by phone (727) 321-3854. You can also pick up an application at the front desk of any Metropolitan Charities locations.
