• 17,000 Pinellas County residents are infected with Hepatitis C.
• Two-thirds of all teenagers infected with HIV are African American.
• Individuals released from incarceration are 5 times more likely than the general population to have AIDS.

M.E.T.R.O. Reaches Out


The Minority Empowerment Through Risk-Reduction and Outreach Program (M.E.T.R.O.) focuses on harm reduction of substance abuse, thereby reducing the transmission of HIV and Hepatitis.
